We have been made aware of some inaccurate information circulating regarding special ‘rescue packs’ for patients with pre-existing respiratory conditions such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Please do not contact your GP practice for a rescue pack. You should continue to manage your condition in the usual way and if you feel you have symptoms of COVID-19, go to before doing anything else.

Please read this helpful information from the British Lung Foundation

You will note that there is no recommendation to have a rescue pack as there is no evidence for their use and indeed their are concerns steroid will reduce your immunity to fight off this virus.

The new online service connects you directly to the medical system we have in the surgery. You can use this to book or cancel appointments, request repeat prescritpions or update your details.  Note however that YOU NEED A LOGON to access this service – If you are 14 years or over please call into the surgery to get your unique log on so that we can confirm your identity.

Repeat Prescriptions

pharmacistRepeat prescriptions can be ordered at reception or by post and will normally be available after 48 hours (normally after 2pm on the second working day following your request).

Re-order slips are provided for your use to minimise error.  We are happy to return prescriptions by post if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed with your request.

Some chemists provide a delivery service, which is free of charge.

You can also order your repeat prescription directly through this site. Click on the link above and complete the simple registration form.

Please plan ahead for your prescriptions, taking account of holidays as 48 hours notice is required for ALL requests. If you request medication that is not on your repeat list, a reason must be given.

Note we do NOT accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

Repeat medications must be reviewed regularly and you may be asked to attend the surgery for this to be done before further medication is prescribed. Medication reviews will be carried out in line with your birthday month.
