Appointments
The doctors and nursing team run surgeries and clinics at various times between 08:00 and 18:30 Monday to Friday.

Appointments

This Practice operates pre-booked and same day booked appointments. Appointments can be made either by telephone or in person at reception during Surgery Times.

Please call at reception after 08.00am for the same day appointment. You can also book pre-booked appointment with your choice of doctor any time during surgery hours. The surgery hours can be found under Surgery Times.

The practice also operates a Telephone Consultation service. This means you can speak to the doctor if you wish by telephone.

Emergency Appointment

If there is any emergency, please call at reception and give all the details of the patient including contact number to the receptionists. She will pass the message to one of the doctors. We always have 2 slots free for emergency appointment in our afternoon slots.

Cancelling Appointments

Always let the surgery know if you cannot attend an appointment as soon as possible. Please note, in doing so you are giving the practice the option to utilise this appointment for some one else.

Consultations are by appointment only.

We strive to maintain 48 hour access to our medical team for all patients so we need to limit the number of appointments we make available for advance booking, therefore the majority of appointments for GPs are “book on the day”.

Nurse’s appointments are mainly bookable in advance. Telephone appointments with a GP are also available to book on same day.

Each appointment is for one person only with one complaint.  If you have a number of concerns that you need to discuss further appointment time will be necessary.  Please advise reception of your needs when booking your appointment.

The reception team are responsible for managing the allocation of appointments and to do this effectively they will ask for details.  The receptionist needs only the briefest detail to be able to direct patients to the most suitable Clinician (Doctor, practice nurse or phlebotomist).

Note:Patients will NOT be seen without an appointment unless it is a medical emergency.  If you arrive late for an appointment we cannot guarantee that you will be seen, you may need to make another appointment.

If you cannot keep a booked appointment please telephone the surgery as soon as possible so that the appointment time can be allocated to another patient.

The surgery also offers “ring-backs” for patients who may require urgent medical assistance but no appointment is routinely available or requires urgent service. This service involves one of the GPs calling the patient on the phone after their morning clinic.  Messages cannot be left on answer machines therefore it is vital that you can give a telephone number where you can be contacted.

DNA (Did not attend)

The surgery’s strict policy is that after 2 DNA’s, the patient will receive a warning letter from the practice, after the 3rd DNA patient will be remove from list.
